I began training students and new hire EMS professionals as field training officer. I found that I really enjoyed teaching and interacting with these people. I thought I may have something to offer as an educator.

I love when the light comes on. Watching my students grow and develop, then one day they suddenly know and understand what they need to do. It’s the best feeling in the world.

My favorite thing to do is swimming with my 2 little boys. We always have a great time.

“I never saw a wild thing feel sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen, dead from a bough without having ever felt sorry itself.” D. H. Lawrence

6. What is something you wish you would have known when you were in college? Do you have any advice you want to pass along to students?
I wish I understood how easy it was for me when I started college fresh out of high school. I quit after a year and a half. I didn’t get serious about my education until life got serious with me. Education makes life easier as you go, but life makes education harder the longer you wait.

7. What is your favorite snack?
I am a sucker for a Heath Bar.
