The Information Technology Club at UACCH is initiating a community-wide effort to allow residents of Hempstead County and surrounding community an easy, environmentally friendly opportunity for disposing of unwanted electronics.  UACCH has teamed up with UNICOR of Texarkana and the City Sanitation Department of Hope, and on Tuesday, April 22, there will be a drop-off location at Fair Park for any unwanted electronics.

UNICOR’s unique, full service recycling program is an integrated part of a national e-scrap solution.. UNICOR is required to sign no-landfill certifications, follow a restrictive export policy, and agree to site inspections.  If you would like to dispose of items such as old televisions, computer monitors, routers, calculators, power supplies, etc., plan to drop them off at the UNICOR trailer at Fair Park on April 22 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
