The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope held a drawing for an iPad from among all the students who have registered for UACCH classes being held at the Arkansas High Campus this spring.  Beginning last fall through the “Natural Partnership” with the Texarkana School District, UACCH has offered college classes on the Arkansas High Campus.  The winner of the iPad was Wende Dahl.

Dahl is an Associate of Arts in Human Services major with 21 hours of the program completed. Dahl is joined in her pursuit of a higher education at UACCH by her husband and daughter.  She is pleased that the low tuition rate at UACCH helps the three of them attend college together.  The Arkansas High location has been very helpful to this family since it is only a 4-mile commute from their home to the campus.  During a visit with Dahl about her experience at UACCH, she stated that UACCH Student Support Services office has been helpful to her family by offering tutoring and other services to facilitate their educational experience.  She noted that the UACCH faculty and staff have been very friendly and encouraging.  After completing her classes at UACCH, she plans to complete a degree in Social Work by transferring to Southern Arkansas University. She was pleased with the assistance she received from the UACCH Financial Aid office and the UACCH Registrar’s office as her family enrolled in classes.  Dahl stated that the UACCH Registrar, Diana Syata, was happy to look at her transcript from other institutions and within minutes let her know which classes would transfer and advise her on the classes she would need to take to complete her degree plan at UACCH.

Please help UACCH congratulate Wende Dahl on winning the iPad.  Wende, UACCH is proud of you and your family for pursuing your education goals.  For more information about UACCH, visit the College website at www.uacch.edu.
