The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and the equitable treatment in the application of credits for the admissions and degree requirements. Course transferability is not guaranteed for courses listed in ACTS as “No Comparable Course.” Additionally, courses with a “D” frequently do not transfer and institutional policies may vary.
Student Advising System (click to view advisors)
Each student will be assigned an advisor during registration. The advisor will be a faculty member in the area most closely related to the student’s proposed major field of study. The advisor will assist the student in choosing the appropriate courses prior to registration each semester. The faculty advisor will also direct the student to information relating to financial aid, testing, etc.
COMPASS is a comprehensive computerized adaptive testing system that helps place students into appropriate courses and maximizes the information that UAHT needs to ensure student success. The COMPASS Test is un-timed and allows students the comfort of moving at their own pace. Skills assessed using the COMPASS include writing, reading and mathematics. The COMPASS Test is given every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the application for all federally funded programs (Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Work Study, student loans) and is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students attending UAHT must list the school code 005732 on their FAFSA application. Students must reapply each academic year as financial aid is not automatically renewed.
