The respiratory program at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope has requested and been granted Voluntary Withdrawal status through the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. The Respiratory Program will no longer accept students into the professional coursework. Students who are current enrolled in the professional course work and complete the program and degree requirements will be considered graduates of a CoARC accredited program in December 2014.

The goals of this program are to prepare the advanced-level students with the skills, professional attitudes, and knowledge necessary to pass the National Board for Respiratory Care Advanced level examination and to successfully gain employment.
It is imperative that contact be made with the Respiratory Care Department before starting work on a degree plan to ensure that it will meet the student’s and the respiratory department’s needs. Twenty positions are open yearly for candidate application. (See departmental policies.)
**The Respiratory Care Department has SPECIFIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS. It is important that contact the respiratory department regarding these requirments.

Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and the equitable treatment in the application of credits for the admissions and degree requirements. Course transferability is not guaranteed for courses listed in ACTS as “No Comparable Course.” Additionally, courses with a “D” frequently do not transfer and institutional policies may vary.
