The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope is pleased to announce that it has the largest enrollment in the history of the institution this semester with 1557 students enrolled in classes. This is also the first time in the history of the College that Fall Enrollment has exceeded the 1500 mark. This increased enrollment is a 4.4% increase from last fall.
As you look back over the past few semesters, the growth that UACCH has experienced is amazing. The climb in enrollment started during the Spring Semester of 2009 when enrollment hit 1336. Graduation that year also proved to be a recording setting event with the largest graduation since 2005.
The Fall of 2009 semester continued to show increasing enrollment numbers with a Fall of 2009 Semester Enrollment of 1492. This was also the first semester for the new Science Technology Center which was completed on schedule and opened just days before classes began in August of 2009.
UACCH Chancellor Chris Thomason reflects on this new enrollment record. Thomason said, “This record enrollment is a great accomplishment for the community and Southwest Arkansas. So many work hard to lend their support to make UACCH successful. I believe our student focus approach is the key to our success and I want to thank each of our students who have enrolled this semester. I applaud them for their dedication to overcoming an array of obstacles to pursue their education.”
UACCH is pleased to be a bridge to the future for the community and looks forward to continuing to serve the area for many years. For more information about UACCH, visit our website at www.uacch.edu.
