Other Scholarships


AB & Pauline King Endowed Scholarship

Dennis and Linda Ramsey offer financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the A.B. & Pauline King Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time student at UACCH (taking 6 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average.

AEP SWEPCO Non-Traditional Scholarship

AEP SWEPCO offers financial support to students who are seeking a degree or technical certificate at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  The amount and number of scholarships are contingent upon funding.

1.   Applicant must be a non-traditional student.  A non-traditional student is defined as a student who meets one or more of the following criteria:
· 25 years or older
· Has dependents
· Returning to school after a period of time
· Married
· Works full-time
· Gender career program, such as a female in welding or a male in nursing.
2.  Applicant must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
3.  Preference given to students enrolled at UACCH-Texarkana.

 

Alisha Proksch EAST Scholarship

Dave and Judy Phillips offer financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Alisha Proksch EAST scholarship.  This scholarship is in memory of Alisha Proksch, an Ashdown EAST Program student.  This $500 scholarship, payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $250 per semester), is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a current or former EAST student.
  2. Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll at UACCH as a full-time student (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  3. Applicant must have a current cumulative grade point average of 2.50.
  4. A letter of recommendation from student’s current or former EAST facilitator is required.

American Legion Leslie Huddleston Post #12 Scholarship

The American Legion Leslie Huddleston Post #12 offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the American Legion Leslie Huddleston Post #12 Scholarship.  This $1,000 scholarship, payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring) is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a Veteran or a dependent of a Veteran
  2. Applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average
  3. Preference will be given to Hempstead County resident

BancorpSouth Endowed Scholarship

The BancorpSouth Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average.

Blevins High School Alumni Scholarship

Martha Sutton Maple offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Blevins High School Alumni Scholarship.  This scholarship is awarded annually (fall-spring) contingent on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at UACCH.
  2. Applicant must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average.

Clyde Coffee Science Scholarship

Coffee Family Dental offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Clyde Coffee Science Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a returning UACCH student.
  2. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  3. Applicant must have successfully completed 15 credit hours.
  4. Applicant must maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
  5. Include with letter of recommendation verification of applicant’s good work ethic.

Commercial National Bank Scholarship

Commercial National Bank offers financial support to a full-time student at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope – Texarkana.  The $1,000 scholarship, payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester), is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a current Miller County or Bowie County resident.
  2. Applicant must be a full-time student (enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at UACCH-Texarkana).
  3. Applicant must have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher.

Ed Thaxton Science Scholarship

Ed Thaxton offers financial support to a student who is seeking a degree at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This $500 scholarship, payable in the fall semester, is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a returning UACCH student.
  2. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  3. Applicant must have successfully completed 12 credit hours including at least one lab science.
  4. Applicant must maintain a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA.
  5. Applicant must be a student who is not eligible for financial assistance (excluding work-study or student loans).

First National Bank of Hope Endowed Scholarship

The First National Bank of Hope Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled in six (6) credit hours or more.
  2. Applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average.

First United Methodist Church of Hope Endowed Scholarship

The First United Methodist Church of Hope Endowed Scholarship offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250-$500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  2. Preference given to a member of First United Methodist Church of Hope.

GO BEAR #13 Scholarship

Randy, Leigh, and Cayden Quillin offer financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the annual GO BEAR #13 Scholarship.  This $500 scholarship, payable in two consecutive semesters ($250/fall – $250/spring), is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a graduate of Spring Hill High School (Hempstead County).
  2. Applicant must have and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher.
  3. Award will be limited to two (2) semesters Fall and Spring per recipient.

Hazel W. Prichard Memorial Endowment Scholarship

Howard Prichard offers financial support to a student who is seeking an associate degree at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Hazel W. Prichard Memorial Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must maintain a grade point average of 2.5.
  3. Applicant must be pursuing an Associate of Arts degree with an interest in Library and Information Science.

Hope/Hempstead County B&PW Lenora Routon Cross Scholarship

The Hope/Hempstead County Business & Professional Women’s Club offers financial support to a student enrolled in vocational or professional studies at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Lenora Routon Cross Scholarship.  This $500 scholarship, payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $250 per semester), is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must live in Hempstead County.
  2. Student must maintain a 2.8 GPA.
  3. Student must be enrolled in vocational or professional studies.

 

Hope Lions Club Johnny Rapert Memorial Scholarship

The Hope Lions Club offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This $1,000 scholarship, payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester), is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must have completed the equivalent of 1 year of college (24 semester hours) with a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
  3. Applicant must be a Hempstead County resident.

Hope Water & Light Endowed Scholarship

Hope Water & Light offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must have and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
  3. Applicant ( or applicant’s parent (s) if applicant is a dependent student) must reside in and receive utility services from Hope Water & Light. Proof of residence and services received must be verified via your monthly utility statement or printout from HW&L.

Houston Gunter Endowed Scholarship

The Houston Gunter Endowed Scholarship offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours per semester.
  2. Applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average.

James A. McLarty, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

The James A. McLarty, Jr. Endowed Scholarship offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250-$500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must have/maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
  2. Preference will be given to student enrolled in the Diesel Technology Program.

James R. and Jami Woody Powell Scholarship

Henry Powell, Conoco/Phillips, and Shady Grove Baptist Church offer financial support to a student who is seeking an associate degree or technical certificate at University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the James R. and Jami Woody Powell Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours) pursuing an Associate Degree or Technical Certificate.
  2. Applicant must maintain a grade point average of 2.5.
  3. Preference will be given to members of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas.

Judge John W. Goodson Memorial Endowment Scholarship

The Donor of the Judge John W. Goodson Memorial offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope – Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250-$500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled as a regular student at UACCH-Texarkana

 

Mary Rogers Sutton Scholarship

Martha Sutton Maple offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Mary Rogers Sutton Scholarship.  This scholarship is awarded annually (fall-spring) contingent on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at UACCH.
  2. Applicant must maintain a grade point average of 3.0.
  3. Applicant must live within the UACCH service area.

Patty Tucker Memorial Faculty Senate Scholarship

The UACCH Faculty Senate offers financial support to a student pursuing an associate degree or technical certificate at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Patty Tucker Memorial Faculty Senate Scholarship.  This $500 scholarship is offered in the fall semester each year.  Scholarship criteria are as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must have a college grade point average of 2.5.
  3. Applicant must be pursuing a degree or technical certificate.
  4. Applicant must be non-Pell eligible.
  5. Applicant must be an Arkansas resident.

Rigger Fest Group Endowed Scholarship

The Rigger Fest Group Endowed Scholarship is awarded annually to a Non-Traditional Career Technical Education (CTE) student at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours or more) in a Career Technical Education program
  2. Applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  3. Preference will be given to a student who has been laid off work and/or injured on the job and returned to school to receive a degree which will enable them to return to the work force

Valerie and Paul W. Klipsch Endowed Scholarship

Valerie Klipsch offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Valerie and Paul W. Klipsch Endowed Scholarship.   This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must maintain a cumulative 3.00 GPA or higher.
  3. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

Piper West Endowed Scholarship

Diamond Bank offers financial support for a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Piper West Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours.
  2. Applicant must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher.
  3. Applicant must be a nontraditional student.
  4. Preference given to the Piper West children.

Quality Care Pediatrics Scholarship

Dr. Ladell W. Douglas offers financial support to a student seeking a degree in the field of technology at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Quality Care Pediatrics Scholarship.  This $1,000 scholarship, payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester), is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must be seeking a degree in the field of technology.
  3. Applicant must maintain a grade point average of 3.0.
  4. Applicant must be a resident of Hempstead, Nevada or Howard Counties.

Sammie Cox Memorial Scholarship

The Sammie Cox Memorial Scholarship offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This $1,000 scholarship, payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester), is awarded annually.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
  2. Applicant must be a student graduating from Redwater High School.

Senator Jim & Charlotte Hill Public Service Endowed Scholarship

The UACCH Foundation Board of Directors offer financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the Senator Jim & Charlotte Hill Public Service Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled as a regular student at UACCH.
  2. Applicant must have and maintain a cumulative 2.50 GPA or higher.
  3. Applicant must be a Hempstead or Howard County resident.
  4. Priority will be given to a student returning to school to further his/her education.

Summit Bank Endowed Scholarship

The Summit Bank Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and the stipend available for each semester of the academic year ranges from $250 – $500.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a full-time student at UACCH (taking 12 or more credit hours).
  2. Applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average.

UACCH Bridge Builders Scholarship

UACCH Administrators, Faculty and Staff offer financial support to students who are enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope through the UACCH Bridge Builders Scholarship fund.  This scholarship is awarded annually (fall-spring).  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
  2. Applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.

UACCH Fine Arts Club Scholarship

The UACCH Fine Arts Club offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope and is a current member of the UACCH Fine Arts Club. This $500 scholarship, payable in the fall semester, is awarded annually. Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at UACCH.
  2. Applicant must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
  3. Applicant must have successfully completed at least one college level fine arts course (art, drama, film, music, creative writing, etc.).
  4. Preference given to a current member of the UACCH Fine Arts Club.
