Industry Outreach Classes

The Industry Outreach Department offers classes that improve businesses and industries in the areas of safety in the workplace, legal changes in the field, supervisor training and current worker skill improvement. Not sure of what you want to offer your employees? We offer customized training services to all of our clients to fit their needs and budget. Below are some previous course offerings.

Safety Classes

Several safety classes are offered once per month pending sufficient enrollment. Pre-registration is required. Some of the available classes are: CPR with First Aid, CPR without First Aid, Health Care Provider, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Our Annual Workers’ Safety Conference sponsored by the Arkansas Department of Labor will be held October 2014. Check back closer to this month for the date and agenda.


Small Business Development Seminars

The Division partners with the Arkansas Small Business Technology and Development Centers (ASBTDC) to provide small business development seminars throughout each semester. How to Write an Effective Business Plan
No matter how large or small, all businesses MUST have a business plan! A business plan will help you define your concept, evaluate the competition, determine risks, and estimate your costs. This seminar will explain and illustrate the business plan format.

Keeping Your Books With QuickBooks – Beginners

This is a good session for those who have just purchased the QuickBooks software and is looking to set up their company file correctly. It’s important to start out right and this workshop focuses on the things to do first to get started.

Keeping Your Books With QuickBooks – Reports
This session provides raining on creating financial reports other than a Profit & loss and Balance Sheet. It also focuses on customizing forms and utilizing the data stored within QuickBooks. The goal here is to make QuickBooks do more without you having to do more.

E-Mail Marketing
