Technical Certificate in Funeral Directing

The Funeral Director Technical Certificate at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope is designed to meet the prerequisites for licensure and employment in funeral service as a Funeral Director in the State of Texas. This program is designed to meet specific state requirements. The American Board of Funeral Service Education does not accredit this certificate since it does not include instruction in the following areas: embalming and related science courses and the general education courses. Students graduating from this Certificate program are not eligible to take the National Board Examination or any state board examination for which graduation from an ABFSE accredited program is required.
