Q. Why did you choose education as a career?
A. I have ALWAYS loved teaching students and trying to make a difference in their lives. Education has been so rewarding for me. I love my career!
Q. What do you LOVE about your classes at UAHT?
A. I love teaching at UAHT. The particular class that I teach (EDGE) is so much fun to teach. The students are so eager to learn and I enjoy getting to know them.
Q. What are your favorite hobbies? What do you do to relax?
A. My hobbies are spending time with my family and working in my yard. My husband and I love to travel.
Q. What is your motto for your class?
A. I have so many…but I would say build dreams, set goals and do what you say you ‘ll do…be reliable….ask questions if you don’t understand.
Q. What is something you wish you would have known when you were in college? Do you have any advice you want to pass along to students?
A. I wish I had taken the EDGE course when I first started college …It would have been very helpful to me. I tell students that college isn’t always about subject matter. The larger lessons are about broader life skills. The important thing is to keep learning and never stop. Continuing to learn-whether in college or in life- is what will determine who you are and what you will become. Learn new things, update your goals, and reinvent yourself. It is up to YOU!
Q. What is your favorite snack?
A. I love anything chocolate…
